Books & Databases
All our books are taken from three major databases. Each database lists titles available from suppliers in that country (Australia, the US & the United Kingdom). You can tell which database a title came from by the flag to the left of the title. The search facility automatically looks in the Australian database, you may select one of the others from the menu at the bottom of the search screen.
These books are not all carried in stock & many have to be ordered in.
Delivery Times
Expected delivery times are displayed when a title is selected. Generally, titles in stock in Australia are shipped within 3 7 days of order (depending on stock availability). A further 20 days should be added for US and UK titles.
Pricing
Imported books are priced depending on the current exchange rate from the country of origin and include the cost of importation. Please note that the price of imported books bought in-store may vary slightly from the internet price due to currency variations between times of purchase. All prices are listed in Australian dollars.
First-time Visitors
The first time you visit Paperchain.com.au and want to order a book, we create your Customer Account. You enter your personal information (name, address, phone, etc.) only once and then every time you return to the site to make a purchase, all you have to do is enter your account name and password. We retrieve all your personal information from our database. For safety reasons, you must enter credit card information each time you visit.

To make it easy to return to Paperchain.com.au, we suggest you bookmark our site. Bookmarking is simple. Just follow these instructions:

Explorer users: Click on Favorites and then click on Add to Favorites.

Search Tips
If you already know the title or author of the book you want type in the title, author's name, or, if you know it, the ISBN of the book, select the corresponding button and then click on Search.
If you have no specific book or author in mind and you just want to browse through our extensive database, then use our general search facilities. Here we offer you a number of different methods:
Go
to the Popular Categories section at the side of the screen and click on
the category that interests you. You can further refine your search by selecting
a sub-category. There are over 3,000 categories, so we hope you find what
you want.
Select Description, enter any word or combination of words and our search
engine will check through our database for any books with those words in
either the title or the description of the book. You can get more information
on any individual title that interests you by double-clicking on that title.
Technical Requirements of RealAudio
To play RealAudio samples, you need a modem connection of at least 14.4 bps, but a 28.8 bps modem or faster is recommended for the best possible sound quality. It is suggested that you use either the Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer browser when you play RealAudio samples. Your computer will also need to be equipped to play sound.

How to Buy
We have made every effort to make buying a book from our store as simple as possible. Use the search facility to look up a book and once you have found a title in the format you want to buy, click on the title and you will be taken to a page devoted to that title. To place your order, Click on "Add to Shopping Basket". Once you have placed the item in your basket, you can choose to "Check Out" or "Continue Shopping".
How to Check Out the Items in Your Basket
When you click on "Check Out", you are taken to your shopping basket. Here you can review your purchases and if necessary, make changes to your order.
If you decide you don't want to buy a particular title and want to take an item out of your shopping basket, Click on the "Delete" button next to the title.
If you want to change the number of copies you want to buy of a particular title, highlight the number in the "Quantity" box by left-clicking on your mouse, type in the number of copies you now require, and Click on the "Update Basket" button.
When you are happy with your order and are ready to purchase your items, Click on the "Check Out Now" button.
If you are a return customer, enter your User Name and Password, and Click on "Log In". Check that your personal details are correct. If you need to change anything, simply type the new information over the existing details. Your new information will be saved automatically. Select the delivery option you prefer, and then Click on the "Continue with Order" button.
If you are a new customer, Click on the "Create New User Account" button and enter the required information. This is where you will create your User Name and Password, which will enable you to shop in future without having to type in your personal details again.
When you have completed the form, select the delivery option you prefer, and then Click on the "Continue with Order" button.
Check that the "Billed To" and "Shipped To" addresses are correct. If you need to make changes, click on the "Back" button.
Select your credit card type and expiration date from the drop-down menus and enter your card number in the box. Click on the "I Accept" button.
Gift Wrapping
We are able to gift-wrap many of the books in our database at a cost of $3.00 per item. This option is located within the checkout procedure. Simply select the wrap of your choice and well do the rest. If you want, well even include a personal message.
Please note that if you have multiple items within your order and you require gift-wrapping, all items have to be gift-wrapped. We do not offer item by item gift-wrapping within a single order.
Availability
Availability of books generally shown once a book is selected. We will also endeavour to display the expected shipping time.
Back Orders
Occasionally books appear on the Paperchain.com.au site that are currently unavailable or out-of-print. An order that is not confirmed as a back-ordered item or is not confirmed as fulfilled within five days of the order is automatically cancelled and the ordering account is credited for the purchase price. We then send you an email stating that we are unable to fill the order.
Shipping and Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are shown once a book is selected through the browser.
Shipping Options
All books are shipped from our Australian fulfillment centre located in Sydney. Books are shipped via Australia Post. Books imported overseas are imported into our Australian fulfillment centre by air freight.
Returns
Paperchain.com.au will accept returns of books with a delivery note, within 30 days of purchase. If you have no packing slip, please return the book with a copy of the order acknowledgement email you received on placing your order.
If you were given the book as a gift, dont worry if there is no price on the delivery note, we can trace the amount paid.
Returned items must be in resaleable condition.
When returning items to our customer service Centre, please indicate the reason for your return on the reverse side of the packing slip and include the packing slip in the box. For your protection, you may wish to send your return via insured parcel post. Please send all returns to:

Paperchain.com.au cannot pay for return shipping charges unless we have made a shipping error. All returns, including any credits applied for return shipping charges, will be credited to the credit card used in the purchase. We will make every effort to process returned items within 7-10 business days. Please note that it may take 1-2 billing cycles for your bank to post the credit to your statement.
Our Guarantee
We guarantee the book you purchase will reach you in good condition. If it doesnt or you are not completely satisfied with it for some other reason, please return the item to us (within 30 days of receipt) and we will replace or refund the full cost of the book. Shipping and handling expenses are not subject to refund unless the book was damaged or we shipped you the wrong product. If so, we will absorb the costs to send you the correct item. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Payment Options
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards. Credit cards are handled by our secure server and charged the next business day after the order is filed.
GST
All prices are inclusive of GST.
Invoices
We do not currently accept purchase orders since all orders must be pre-paid. If you are a corporate or organizational customer, please contact us at admin@Paperchain.com.au to make special arrangements.
Your Account
Create an Account
To process your orders, we need to set up an account for you first. Having an account will enable you to place orders faster and more easily and to track your orders online. Your User Name and Password are the keys to your Customer Account; they must be entered before any information can be accessed. You create your account the first time you go through the Check Out process. Here's how:
When
you're finished shopping, Click on the "Check Out Now" button.
As a new customer, Click on the "Create New User Account" button.
Enter your personal details. These details are the minimum information we
need to ship you your order correctly and to process your credit card. For
your security, we do not retain details of your credit card with your personal
information; rather, we require you to enter credit card information each
time you make a purchase.
At this point you will also create your User Name and Password. This will
enable you to come back in future and shop without having to type in your
personal details again. Make sure you keep your User Name and Password in
a safe place.
When you have completed the form, select the delivery option you require,
and then Click on the "Continue with Order" button.
View Your Order.
To review your past or pending orders:
Click
on the "Your Account" link at the top of the home page. This will
take you to the Account Login page. Enter your User Name and Password and
Click on the "Login" button.
You can now view your past or pending orders. To get the details of an order,
click on Order #. You'll be able to see which items have already shipped,
when they were shipped, the method of delivery, and which items are still
being processed.
Change Your Account Information
Click
on the "Your Account" link at the top of the home page. This will
take you to the Account Login page. Enter your User Name and Password and
Click on the "Login" button.
To enter new information, delete the current entry from the relevant field,
type in the new information, and click on the "Save My Changes"
button.
Change Email
Click
on the "Your Account" link at the top of the home page. This will
take you to the Account Login page. Enter your User Name and Password and
Click on the "Login" button.
To change your email address, enter a new one in the field provided. Please
take a moment to double-check your email address. If it's not correct, we
won't be able to contact you.
To change your password, enter a new password in the field provided. Once
you have made all your changes, click on the "Save Changes" button.
